CaribSell1 is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and legally compliant platform for buying and selling across the Caribbean. Below are frequently asked questions about what items are not allowed on CaribSell1.
❓What types of adult or mature content are prohibited?
CaribSell1 does not allow:
Adult toys, pornography, or sexually explicit content
Fetish items, such as used undergarments
Sensual lubricants or products of a sexual nature
❓Can I sell alcohol, tobacco, or cannabis products?
No. The following are strictly prohibited due to legal restrictions:
Alcohol
Cannabis or CBD products
Tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vaping liquids
Prescription or recreational drugs
Note: Vape batteries only are allowed.
❓Are animals or wildlife products allowed?
Not in most cases. You cannot list:
Items made from endangered species (e.g., sea turtles, parrots, coral)
Ivory, shells, animal hides, or taxidermy
Wildlife-based traditional remedies or crafts
❓Can I sell replica or branded lookalike items?
No. CaribSell1 prohibits:
Counterfeit clothing, accessories, or electronics
Bootleg DVDs, music, or digital media
Unauthorized use of logos or brand names
❓What about cultural or heritage artifacts?
You may not list:
Items that exploit or misrepresent Afro-Caribbean, Maroon, or Indigenous cultures
Relics protected by heritage laws (e.g., Taino artifacts)
Fake "handmade" or "authentic" artisan items
❓Are weapons or dangerous items allowed?
CaribSell1 bans all weapons, including:
Guns, ammunition, or explosive materials
Knives disguised as everyday items (e.g., cane swords)
Tasers, pepper spray, and similar self-defense tools
Exception: Machetes are allowed only if clearly listed as farming tools.
❓Can I sell food on CaribSell1?
Homemade and perishable foods are not allowed, including:
Cooked meals, sauces, meat, seafood, or cut fruits
You may list:
Whole produce (e.g., mangoes, pumpkins)
Farm-fresh eggs
Commercially packaged food
❓What hazardous items are restricted?
Prohibited items include:
Pesticides, radioactive or explosive substances
Pressurized gas tanks (e.g., CO₂ cartridges)
Ozone-depleting chemicals
❓Are illegal or regulated items allowed?
Absolutely not. These include:
Stolen goods, forged documents, or tampered electronics
Jailbroken or locked devices sold deceptively
Items restricted by national laws (e.g., pirate TV boxes, unlicensed radios)
❓Can I sell medicine or medical devices?
No. CaribSell1 does not allow:
Prescription drugs or devices (e.g., CPAP machines, EpiPens)
Contact lenses or unsealed cosmetics
❓What content is considered offensive or hateful?
CaribSell1 enforces a zero-tolerance policy against:
Items promoting racism, hate speech, or violence
Colonial or slavery memorabilia that glorifies oppression
Products targeting protected groups
❓Can I list recalled or unsafe items?
No. You must not post:
Items recalled by CARICOM, CROSQ, or other agencies
Electronics or toys flagged for fire, electrical, or choking hazards
❓Can I sell services or digital products?
Generally no. Not allowed:
Services (unless through approved CaribSell1 partners)
Digital items, gift cards, or mystery boxes
MLM schemes, lost pet posts, or off-platform promotions
Exception: Businesses verified through the CaribSell1 app may list eligible services.
